- Wow but the military makes political figures disappear or guns
them down with M16s or hand grenades, that's more efficient huh?
Clean and effective indeed. The generals do the dirty work, just
like a couple of other ASEAN countries incidentally. That's your
idea of democracy huh? Real progressive!
Are you still living in the age of Sukarno, or Suharto - or just
being a dickhead stuck in a hole that you are not supposed to get
into ?
Or perhaps you are mixing the Latin American Politics with
Indonesia's ?
Obviously, you have conveniently overlooked that since Suharto
was kicked out of office, he was replaced by an arrogant
short a*rse - who dared call Singapore a little red
dot, and was replaced by a democratically elected blind
man, who was himself replaced by a fat lady - and all done
with relative peace that even allowed the World to witness a
peaceful and civil handover of political power from one person to
the next.
This is even more remarkable considering Indonesia had not been
familiar with the democratic process after more then 50 years of
one man ruling by dictates with the help of his family and
cronies, while the Congress act only as a rubber stamp.
With your familiarity only limited to the Singapore experience,
can we forgive your naive belief that nothing else can compare to
the Singapore ways ?
- Wow, but with the use of bombings to disrupt the election
process, of course you won't need any other policies! Dun quote me,
quote the Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono speaking
after the terror bombings and the Indonesian analysts who say that
military was probably involved! They received intelligence of
military attempts to disrupt the election process as well as how to
oppose the election of Yudhoyon.Notice how the JI has not claimed
responsibility for the bombings? Usually they can't wait to claim
credit for such things?
Were you watching Black Hawk Down while at the same time reading
the news of the recently concluded Indonesian Election ?
If only you allow your small brain to take on one
subject at a time, then you will not mix up the events between
your addiction with violent videos, from the news
report of the recently CONCLUDED Indonesian Election that went
about without incidents last week, and from the bombing that
occured on Friday, 17 July 2009.
- Wow, but you so conveniently neglect what democracy means to
the majority of Indonesian voters who happen to be poor and
illiterate. A few rupiah for you to tick this box, get
it, farmer? You carry banner and wave flags today with this group
of people, some more rupiah for you ok?
What do you know about the Indonesian voters who happen to be
poor and illiterate ?
Obviously you know more about the well educated and richer
Singaporeans who are discerning enough to resist the promises
of neighborhood upgrading schemes - that got the Ruling Party
to win 66.6 percent of the votes that came from only 35
percent of the eligible 1.5
million Singaporean Citizens who were supposed to
vote ?
Obviously, it was inconvenient for you to admit that 60
percent of the Indonesian Electorates gave their vote of confidence
to Bambang Yudhoyono, and from a turnout of approximately 70 percent of the Indonesian
population of 170 Million voters.
Obviously, it was inconvenient for you to note that the
Indonesian Print and Broadcast Media had a free hand to report
about the various Presidential candidates without any controls
or pressures from any one group - and was the primary source of
information for those whom you believe to be "illiterate and
poor".
- Wow, so what's your point, that Singapore prides itself on
racial equality? That we go by non-racial persecution policies?
Nelson Mandela/South African apartheid ring a bell? American Civil
War and Martin Luther King mean anything to you? What's new?
Are you suggesting otherwise ?
Obviously you were not paying attention when you were being
taught civics as planned by the PAP.
Then again, obviously you did not read the text of my reply in
relation to what sgdiehard had written.
- Wow, a race of people fleeing their country to escape
persecution? What's new? What's your point again? The Jews and the
Palestines and the Muslims and countless many others have to do
that in the course of history. So the Indonesian Chinese worked
hard to earn their money. They didn't stop other Indonesians from
doing so what. What's your point? Yet they suffered persecution and
ethnic crimes, they have no right to self-preservation just cos
their skin colour is lighter? Yawn.
Read the text of my reply in relation to what sgdiehard had
written.
If you cannot get the drift then try not to let
your brain get the better of yourself.
- Wow, you don't know much about international finance do you?
Why sign something just cos another country says so?
Especially when that something doesn't benefit you! Obviously you
dun understand the concept of sovereignty do you?
And you do appreciate this fact better than anyone ?
Obviously, in your haste you forgot that Singapore actually
signed a Treaty with Indonesia without any claims to the concept of
sovereingty.
Obviously, this concept was convenient when it happened to be
so.
Perhaps it was not so convenient now for you to change your
position ?
- Wow haven't you heard that the Swiss Govt is headed towards an
exciting international law battle with the US Govt over the
former's banking secrecy laws that allow rich fat US citizens to
evade taxes? Been living in a cave? Don't you know that the
prospect of any harmonisation of international finance laws are a
million light years away? Ever bothered to ask the Cayman Islands,
Luxembourg et al the same questions?
The problem with naivete is that it blurs the ability to grasp
time and space, and made worse by the impertinence of a dickhead
poking its head in unfamiliar holes.
Obviously, the exuberence of a poppycock has made you
less discerning to details before enthusiastically attempt to fight
with straws in your hands.
Is Singapore promoting itself as a tax haven that
is anywhere near the same status as Switzerland, or the Cayman
Islands, or Luxembourg, or Labuan Island ?
If at all, Singapore's position has been dubious at
best when the political leadership play a double game
that surreptitiously conniving with the crooks from Indonesia
and Myanmar, even as it present itself as a respectable figure on
the global stage.
- Wow, so M'sia accepts immigrants from any country so long as
the skin colour fits a certain darker shade? Skills and rich or not
doesn't matter? What's new? Its not our business what, its their
sovereign right to do what they want.
Obviously, you are a dickhead stuck in a hole that you just
have no clue how to pull yourself out from.
If it is not our business, what does it matter to you what is
said about them by anyone ?
